  BIOGRAPHY.  
 
David Newton Collamer resided in Junius, N. Y., after his marriage, until the year 1869, when he removed to Waterloo, and engaged in the boot and shoe business with his father. In 1871 he returned to Junius, and was a member of the firm of Beal & Collamer in the hardware business. In 1874 he removed to Maquoketa, Iowa, and with his father established the lumber and coal firm of S. Collamer & Son. In 1877 he removed to Cheyenne, Wyo., and was a member of the dry goods house of Clary & Collamer. In 1889 he removed to Jefferson, Texas, and was a member of the lumber firm of Clark, Boice & Collamer. In 1895 he removed to Waco, Texas, and organized the clothing and furnishing business of “Collamer Clothing & Furnishing Company.”
